We met at the Stakesby Arms car park for 10oClock. 16 of us set of. We got to Pickering fueled up and met Pickering Scooter Club.Stayed there for   half an hour ish. Then set of for Helmsley,A panel fell of a Lammy and knocked Pashy of his scoot. (Mainly cosmetic damage to paintwork and light rim).Pashy was ok appoligies were given and money offered when we got to Helmsley. It was nice to see so many scooters riding into Helmsley and seeing everyone looking at us.We stayed there for about an hour looked around snacks and beverages, toilets and photos. We then all set of en-mass,for Scarborough which to my knowledge was uneventful nice ride though, The ride down onto Scarborough Sea-front was great. half an hour later it was time to set of home again.Half way back to Whitby the heavens opened, god i hate riding in the rain its pants..Clubs on the ride were WHITBY S.C. Got up sunday 8.00 oh my god its pissing down. ah well lets see how it goes.So Neil,Cuckoo,Paul,John,Doug(M,boro),Chad,Moonie,Luke and Coco set off from the New Bridge,to meet barry at 4 lane ends.Thats were barrys day started, and finished as he had broken down.
After trying to get barry started,we set of at 10.00.Its still raining.got to Hole of Horcum to let anyone catch up no more problems, apart from now it is snowing.(GREAT STUFF).We decided to see what it was like at Pickering then decide what to do from there.Pickering like being on another planet, glorious sunshine, still cold though. We are late now though meeting Scarborough at lay-by.They have gone, but we wait for Luke,John and Doug.No show a phone call later,Doug has seized big style,so thats his day over wait for the aa man,Luke and John, set off back home.then we were 6.
So we finally get to Knaresborough.
Were over the moon.Heres some pic`s

We ended up at last years venue. Dumb arse i am if only i had read the sheet richard gave me,(better learn to read first eh).We ended up at CLIFTON MOOR shopping centre, with a guy from SOUL SURVIVORS Leeds, and two guys from DONCASTER HUNTERS nice orange/white lammy. So it was sod this,Time to go home, nowt else can go wrong can it oh yes it can, fuel stop at garage Cuckoos petrol pipe decided to give up the ghost and leak all over his nice shiny exhaust, that fixed we got home no probs.Only what happened to moonie,he was probably the only one to get to YORK RI,or did he,He might still be riding round York.     Keep The Faith eh good job i`ve got it by the bucket load, all part of the fun eh.
Richard,Twinny and Alex.went earlier that day,and went to Leeds first to pick Maxine up. So keep looking in for more pictures.Meanwhile here`s the rideout patch....

Y.S.A.MOORENDS-SELBY RIDEOUT.
          *14 JUNE 2006*
Only 3 members of Whitby s.c turned out for the rideout from Moorends to Selby(Cuckoo,Alex and Richard). We set of with the weather fine but slightly cold. And met up with three solo riders from Scarborough,Malton s.c,and Pickering s.c.(Where were Eastfield and Castle Coasters). The ride to Moorends was uneventful with just a little shower but overall a nice ride. The pub at Moorends was filling up fast and it was a very good turnout.Nice to see a good few custom scooters braving the weather as well as my own Laugh Now Cry Later, there was also Fairground Attraction. The Widow.Jeepers Creepers,Some Like It Hot,John Player Special and a very tasty gold and brown metalflake Lammy, called Do I Love You Indeed I Do.
The rideout to selby was great, just the right distance. And well marshalled by everyone(well done to M.A.D s.c and Selby Moving Targets s.c)We met Jessie at Selby and the ride home was uneventful(which must be a first for Whitby s.c as someone usually always has problems. But a little wet as from Pickering we had constant rain all the way back to Whitby. All in all an excellent day.

Makes a change to see tools on a tag not a vespa or lambretta.
Bit like my scooter needs a decent paint job.
***WHITBY NATIONAL RALLY 16-18 JUNE 2006***
W   O   W
Another national rally came and went, but what a top weekend it was.According to the local paper between 3,000/4,000 scooterists descended upon us with 800 of that number camping.by opening time on friday the drinking had started,by 2.00 the pubs were filling up fast.Friday night at the spa only filled up slowly   when we arrived at 9.30 there was about 250 people there. Many prefering to stay in town till late on or watching SMALL WELLER at the PIER INN.by all accounts they were very good. the band at the spa (fri)were JARVIS HUMMBY. I heard one or two say that they would have gone down better at a NEW UNTOUCHABLES event as they were not SKA or NORTHERN but played ACID JAZZ/MOD.On a personal note considering everything they played was there own stuff and was lively enough to boogie along to.Ithought they were ok.(that is only my opinion).
Doing the tourist bit eh maxine
A rose between two thorns
Some early arrivals
C`ant stand the pace
Look im an aeroplane
On sat morning more and more scooters were arriving.from all over the uk from scotland edingbrough to some i spoke to from brighton. Also scooterists from Germany,Sweden and Holland.10.00 the parts fair and custom show got underway with a very high number of entrants and as usual a very high standard of custom bikes on show. 12.00 it was time for the rideout to Goathland(HEARTBEAT).300+ went on the rideout with only a few minor breakdowns, and no spills.
After coming back to WHITBY it was time for me to go to the SPA as i hadnt had a look round yet,And hear who had won what in the custom show.Congratulations to Johnny D on winning best chopper, and to Jase Draper on winning best engraving.......after that Johnny D entered the custom show at the STAKESBY ARMS.(BIG THANK YOU to SOOTY the Landlord and all his staff.)Which was being used by the YORKSHIRE ALLIANCE with dj,s,burger bar etc.(which was very successful by all accounts after a slow start). And he also won best chopper in that,Not bad eh two trophys at differant events in the same day. Then it were home for tea,and then back to STAKESBY ARMS,for some music and several drinks.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY PICTURES OR A WRITE UP OF SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE SPA. send them by e-mail to me.thanks..
